Buckler_metal_c

This is a very small metal shield used for personal defense in Combat.

Description

Bucklers were small circles of wood or metal worn strapped to the left forearm. They could deflect swings, but were fairly weak and still left the user vulnerable. They were mostly used by archers or skirmishers, not intended for heavy melee combat.

Buckler_metal_c is a metal sheet with a reinforcing boss in the middle.

Usage

Equip the buckler in your inventory. It will appear on your left arm and provide some protection when you block an attack. The quality will go down fairly quickly in steady combat.

To create

Bucklers must be made indoors (see IndoorsCraftingProjects). When you are indoors, start a project to craft bucker_metal_c, and add the following Components:

• 1 metal sheet, EQUIP hammer_a, takes 36 minutae

• 1 nails (60+ QL), EQUIP hammer_a, takes 60 minutae

  • (60+) smithing required.

• 1 handle_b (50+QL), EQUIP hammer_a, takes 24 minutae

  • (60+) carpentry required.
• 1 metal bowl - equip hammer_a, takes 60 minutae
